The 2 Powerful Questions That Changed My Life
Simple yet complex questions
--
I have a long list of more than 40 questions that changed my life for the better. Here are two simple yet complex questions that transformed my way of thinking.
- How was the worst thing that ever happened to me, the best thing that’s ever happened to me?
This question will force you to think about the worst thing that has ever happened to you. Then it will prompt you to ask yourself how did that event change you for the better?
It might not be the worst thing that has ever happened to you, it might just be a bad thing or something that had a negative impact on your life. How did it change you? It might have pushed you down the wrong path, but can you find the silver lining?
2. What would your work look like if it were easy?
This is a question that encourages you to think about your day to day life and, or work from a different perspective.
When you think about success, you think about having to do “hard” work to achieve success. Whether it be financial success or relationship success, whatever the case may be, to see the rainbow, we must face the difficulties.
The truth is, the difficulties often lie in your thought patterns. Your self-talk. Often, people talk themselves out of starting a project because they focus on the hard things. Instead of painting a picture of what it would look like if it were easy.
This changed my thinking completely and I now look at difficult tasks through a different lens, a more optimistic lens.
Bottom Line
Life will always present its challenges however, sometimes you need to stop and ask yourself some important questions. Try and answer these questions for yourself.
