You Probably Have a Love/Hate Relationship with Medium and That’s OK!

I’ve been writing on Medium for 18 months. Some days, I love it and some days, I yell at the screen.
Sound familiar?
Probably.
Listen, Medium is a great place to write and earn some extra money but it doesn’t mean that you will have good days every single day.
I love my niche blogging business, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. However, I wake up sometimes and scream at WordPress or my keyword research tools because they can be glitchy sometimes.
If you’re reading this and you’re having a bad day. Maybe you feel like quitting because you’re not getting the results you hoped for, don’t fret!

Think of Medium like a mini world in itself. It has seasons, sometimes it’s amazing and the algorithm is smooth, the people are happy and chill. No bad comments, everything is great.
Then, the algo stops pushing your articles out to the world, your best commentary person stops commenting and, your little Medium world goes cold.
It’s OK, the sun is about to shine again.
Last year, I went from earning $800 a month to $5000 then, right back down to $400 and then $6000 and it keeps changing.
It’s all part of the ebb and flow of life and Medium is no different.
BTW, I’m feeling super creative and want to start to writing poetry and short stories again.
